Once in a Lifetime Falls Through
According to IMDB.com, Elle's new movie Once In A Lifetime is no longer in production, and Elle is not taking part. All details of the film have been removed from the online movie database - so, as far as we know, Elle won't be taking part in this movie any longer, if it is made at all.

Elle in Australia
Elle is currently in Melbourne, Australia on the set of Charlotte's Web. Her big sister Dakota is shooting this feature film in Australia until mid-May, although Elle will return home to LA before the end of April with her grandmother. The shoot is taking place primarily in Greendale, with location shoots in Heidleberg, Hawthorn and Williamstown.

Elle returns back home
After two months in Melbourne, Elle and Dakota returned home to LA on Wednesday May the 18th. Neither of the girls have any immediately upcoming roles, so the next few weeks will be a break for them.

Rumoured role in Babel
Elle is rumoured to be playing the role of Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett's young daughter in the upcoming epic Babel, although there has been no official confirmation on her involvement. The movie is set in exotic locations such as Morocco, Tunisia, Mexico and Japan, and will be directed by Alejandro Gonza'lez In~a'rritu. Whether Elle takes part or not remains to be seen.

First tooth is pulled at the dentist
This little girl is growing up so fast! Elle had to have her first two teeth pulled out at the dentist earlier this month, and now has a gorgeous gappy smile. The teeth in question are her two front teeth on the bottom row. She is looking more adorable than ever! It's hard to believe that this wee girl is already beginning to grow her grown-up teeth - it seems like just yesterday that she was a preschooler in Daddy Day Care.

The Fannings head off to Hawaii
During her promotions for "The War of the Worlds" Dakota revealed that because she has the summer off this year, she, Elle and their parents are headed off to a family holiday to Hawaii later this month.

Dakota and Elle have been seen playing on a beach in Hawaii, wearing adorable matching dresses, and having a wonderful time. This is a well earned break for them after so much travel and press.

Role in Babel confirmed
It has been confirmed that Elle is playing the role of Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett's daughter in the upcoming epic Babel. In another article on Dakota in the current issue of 'Entertainment Weekly' magazine, Elle is mentioned, and her upcoming role finally verified for us - congratulations to Elle! Elle in Mexico shooting scenes for Babel
Elle is shooting her scenes for Babel in Mexico. The Fannings are all with her, including Dakota, who is not currently working on any new projects. An article from the Daily News reads: "Dakota Fanning, the new voice of Lilo, couldn't come because her younger sister, Elle, is shooting a film in Mexico." (Read more here).

Elle's Body Double for Babel is Emilia McCarthy
In a new article, the name of Elle's body double for Babel has been announced as seven year old Londoner Emilia McCarthy. The lucky girl will travel to London and work alongside Elle for the duration of the shoot, in Mexico. Elle will be filming her part for six weeks. For more details, click here.

Premiere of My Neighbour Totoro Announced
The Hollywood Film Festival's Board of Advisors has unveiled the line-up for this year's festival, as well as the Hollywood Film
Awards nominees and honorees. It will close with the World Premiere of Disney's "MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO," an animated feature starring the voices of DAKOTA FANNING and ELLE
FANNING and directed by HAYAO MIYAZAKI, on October 23 at Arclight Theatres.

Babel finished filming
Dakota revealed that Elle has finished filming on Babel during a radio interview. The interviewers asked
her about the movies that Elle has been in, and she replied: "She's been in Daddy Day Care, Door in the Floor, um, Because of Winn Dixie, and she
just finished the movie called Babel, with Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett." The interviewer replied, "Boy, if I had you as a sister, I'd want to
be anything but an actress...it's a lot of pressure!"

Dakota & Elle as Polly Pocket
As part of the Dream Halloween Benefit, which is a charity event in support of the Child Affected by Aids Foundation, Mattel Toys have
made a one-of-a-kind replica Polly Pocket doll set of Dakota and Elle at the Cat in the Hat premiere. The set is being auctioned off today, at the Dream Halloween event,
which both girls attended. The money will go directly to support CAAF.

New Rumoured Movie
Hark ye Elle fans! Our favorite little moppet has won yet another role, according to IMDB.com! In "Doubting Thomas", Elle is reported to play the role of 'Rachel'. Apparently filming has already started on this movie, the plot of which reads: "Doubting Thomas is the story of a twelve year old boy known for telling tall tales who overhears a plot to kidnap the President's daughter. When he goes public with his story, no one believes him, and he is forced to save her on his own." It will reportedly be directed by Mark Blutman, and co-star AnnaSophia Robb and Forrest Landis. This movie has yet to be confirmed by any official source, but we can hold high hopes. Congratulations, Elle!

Babel Release Date
According to several sites, "Babel" will be released in Australia on Boxing Day (December 26) 2006. A specific release date for North America has not yet been announced. This date is, of course, subject to change, but let's hope not - it's pretty promising that the studio has set it up on such an important opening day.
