There's no rivalry for these acting siblings!
Name: Mary Elle Fanning
Mini-Bio: Born on April 9, 1998 in Conyers, GA, Elle's first on-screen role was as the younger version of her sister Dakota, in 2001's I Am Sam. She also played the younger version of Dakota's character in the following year's TV miniseries Taken. Elle then began getting her own roles, including a small part in the 2003 comedy Daddy Day Care with Eddie Murphy and Jeff Garlin and a considerably larger role in the dark 2004 drama The Door in the Floor, of which she's only seen her own scenes: "I can see it when I'm grown up, like 30 or something," she says.
Following last year's family film, Because of Winn-Dixie she's moved on to several other big-screen projects, including I Want Someone To Eat Cheese With, opposite her Daddy Day Care co-star Garlin, and the multi-cultural drama Babel with Brad Pitt. Elle has also continued to work in television, with guest spots on such series as CSI: New York, CSI: Miami and House.
Despite such obvious signs of growing success, Elle remains down-to-earth about her budding career. "What's the best part of a movie? I love to know what my name is," she says. "It's just so fun. That's the first thing I ask. It's just fun because you have a different name in every movie."
Biggest Claim To Fame: Strong reviews for her supporting role in The Door in the Floor.
Current Project: Filming Babel with Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett.
Favorite Things: Soccer, Marilyn Monroe, Care Bears and playing the piano.
Quote: "Dakota Fanning is my favorite actress."
