April 1998: - Mary Elle Fanning is born on April 9.

April 1999: - Elle celebrates her first birthday in Georgia. Dakota is five years old. Later on in the year, the Fanning family move from Conyers, Georgia, to Los Angeles.

January 2001: - Filming begins for "I Am Sam" on January 25th.

February 2001: - Elle films her very first movie role, in "I Am Sam". She plays the younger version of Dakota's character, Lucy Diamond Dawson. She is 2 years, 10 months old.

January 2002: - Elle attends her first premiere with Dakota. It is for the Disney film "Snow Dogs". She is three months shy of her fourth birthday.

2002: - The episode of "Taken" that Elle appears in, as the younger version of Dakota's character Allie, is shot at Vancouver Aquarium in Canada.

August 2002: - Filming begins for "Daddy Day Care" on August 5th.

September 2002: - "Daddy Day Care" continues shooting.

October 2002: - "Daddy Day Care" continues filming, and Elle attends a Halloween party on set, where she is dressed as Little Bo Peep. She later wears the same costume to the 9th Annual Dream Halloween Benefit.

November 2002: - After three months, "Daddy Day Care" wraps near the end of November.

January 2003: - Elle films an episode of "Judging Amy". She is four and a half years old.

March 2003: - Filming begins on "The Door in the Floor" on March 31st, when Elle is just shy of her fifth birthday. This movie is shot in New York.

April 2003: - While "The Door in the Floor" is filming, Elle celebrates her fifth birthday party. The director of the film, Tod Williams, gave her a Barbie doll as a gift.

June-July 2003: - One of Dakota's films, "Man On Fire", was filming in Mexico from March through until July, and Elle visited her sister on location. The family climbed the Mexican pyramids.

September 2003: - Production begins on "Because of Winn Dixie", although Elle has not been cast yet. Filming takes play in Thibodaux, Louisiana, beginning September 22. Back home in Los Angeles, meanwhile, Elle is busy filming an episode of "CSI: Miami".

October 2003: - Elle auditions for, and is cast in "Because of Winn Dixie", as Sweetie Pie Thomas.

November 2003: - Elle begins filming her part on "Because of Winn Dixie". Later this month she attends the premiere for her big sister's movie, "The Cat in the Hat". She is five and a half years old.

December 2003: - "Because of Winn Dixie" wraps filming. Dakota and Elle celebrate Christmas at home. They appear in a magazine article explaining their favorite Christmas treats - and how they love to cook with Grandma Mary Jane.

January - October 2004: - Elle stays out of the spotlight for some time, with only some modelling work to keep her busy outside of school and play.

November 2004: - Elle books and films her role in "CSI: New York". She appears in the nineth episode of the very first season of this fledgling show. Later in the month she begins filming on "I Want Someone To Eat Cheese With".

December 2004: - "I Want Someone To Eat Cheese With" wraps in Los Angeles.

March 2005: - Filming on "Charlotte's Web" begins in Melbourne. Elle flys out with her mother, grandmother, and sister Dakota.

April 2005: Elle spends the whole of April in Melbourne. During her time there, she visits the fairy penguin colony at Phillip Island. On Saturday April 9, she celebrates her seventh birthday at Cirque Du Soleil's "Quidam".

May 2005: - The Fanning family fly home after "Charlotte's Web" wraps on May 15.

June 2005: - Elle auditions for the part of Debbie in "Babel". Another milestone is when she visits the dentist to have her very first teeth pulled. Later on this month, she travels with Dakota to New York as part of the press tour for "War of the Worlds". The girls take in a stage show of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" while they are there, on June 24.

July 2005: - The Fanning family takes some time off with a holiday to Hawaii.

August 2005: - "Babel" begins shooting in Mexico on August 15. Dakota misses out on the premiere of her film Lilo and Stitch 2 to be with her sister.

September 2005: - After six weeks shooting, Elle returns home from Mexico at the end of September. She just misses out on attending her induction into the Girl Scouts of America ceremony, held on September 22, where she is officially made a brownie. Dakota becomes a Junior Girl Scout.

October 2005: - At her first premiere in nearly two years, Elle supports her big sister Dakota's film "Dreamer" by attending the premiere and after-party. Also this month, Elle films her scene in the short film P.N.O.K. in Los Angeles.

December 2005: - Elle films a very cute part in House: MD. She is seven and a half and growing up fast.

March 2006: - Elle books and films her part in the new Tony Scott film 'Deja Vu'. She is spotted by extras during the filming at Algiers Ferry, in New Orleans.

April 2006: - Another film bears Elle's name when she films 'Day 73 With Sarah', shortly after her eighth birthday.

May 2006: - For three days, Elle shoots her scenes for John August's film "The Nines", in Los Angeles. The shoot starts May 22.

July 2006: - Elle films her scenes in 'Law and Order: SVU'. Later this month, she leaves for Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she starts filming her part in 'The Lost Room' on July 19. She is eight years old.

August 2006: - All through the beginning of August, Elle continues filming for 'The Lost Room'. Later on in the month, she auditions for an episode of 'Criminal Minds'on August 28.

September 2006: - Elle, not yet eight and a half, films a guest spot in 'Criminal Minds'. Her episode begins its filming on September 5.

October 2006: - The whole of October sees Elle busying herself with the filming of 'Reservation Road' in Connecticut. She plays Emma Learner, the daughter of Joaquin Phoenix and Jennifer Connelly.

November 2006: - Wrapping up filming on 'Reservation Road' early in the month, Elle stays at home later on while the rest of the Fanning family take a trip around the world to promote 'Charlotte's Web'.

December 2006: - After a busy year, Elle spends Christmas at home with her family. She is eight and a half. Late in the month, she also begins filming on 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' in New Orleans. She dons a red haired wig for the part of Daisy.

January 2007: - Elle starts the year in New Orleans, filming 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'. When she has finished there, she flies to Utah for the Sundance Film Festival with her sister and dad (mom stays at home). She braves the snow at Park City Mountain Resort on Jan 21, to take her very first skiing lesson, declaring skiing "the funnest thing I have ever done!!!!!!" in a blog for EW. At the festival she also busies herself with a photoshoot, schmoozing with celebs at the Hounddog Private Dinner, and a premiere for her new film, The Nines.

March 2007: - In the middle of the month Elle hightails it to NYC with her grandma for the filming of 'Dirty Sexy Money', a new pilot for ABC in which she plays the daughter of Peter Krause. She arrives home on March 28, just in time for the Kid's Choice Awards, which are held on March 31. She and her big sister make a splash when they attend the awards together in Los Angeles. Elle is seen screaming with excitement as Dakota picks up an award at the ceremony.

April 2007: - 'Vivaldi' was scheduled to begin shooting in Venice at the beginning of this month, but is later cancelled due to unknown setbacks. Elle celebrates her birthday at home in Los Angeles, turning nine years old.

May 2007: - Early in the month the Fanning sisters celebrated the third birthday of their little cousin Presley in style, treating the tyke to a day out at Disneyland. The girls get into the spirit of things, donning a pair of Mickey Mouse ears each. Later on, Elle heads to Long Island, New York, for her biggest role yet: the leading character in 'Phoebe In Wonderland', which begins shooting on May 30. The shoot is a family affair when Dakota tags along to support her sister as well.

June 2007: - Elle spends the entire month of June in the Big Apple, filming scenes for 'Phoebe In Wonderland'. On June 9 the production rolls into Douglaston, where she is snapped wearing a full Alice in Wonderland outfit, and later in the month scenes are filmed at Roanoke Elementary School in New York. There is great excitement among the students when Dakota drops in for a visit as well! Elle also takes time at a local gymnasium to rehearse her dance moves for the movie's "show stopping number".

July 2007: - After 'Phoebe in Wonderland' has wrapped, Elle heads back to LA for a brief break before heading off to Budapest for 'The Nutcracker'. There filming starts on July 16, and continues for 13 weeks.

August 2007: - Filming continues on 'Nutcracker - The Untold Story' although both Dakota and Elle have time for a brief trip to Austria. The girls are spotted in a hotel in Venice on the 12th of August.

September 2007: - Elle misses out on the Toronto Film Festival, where 'Reservation Road' premieres, as she is still tied up in the magical world of 'The Nutcracker' in Hungary.

October 2007: - The end of October sees the wrap of 'Nutcracker - The Untold Story' and Elle makes the journey home from Budapest to Los Angeles. A blogger bumps into her at a cafe, where Elle is singing to herself as she inspects the range of cakes and pies. October also sees Elle sign along the dotted line for a new movie - 'My Sister's Keeper' - an adaptation of the novel of the same name. Filming is expecting to start March 2008. Later this month she starts attending a private school for the very first time, after previously being homeschooled all her life.

January 2008: - For the second time in as many years, Elle makes an appearance at the Sundance Film Festival, this time minus Dakota (who is filming The Secret Life of Bees interstate). However, both mom and dad, as well as agent Cindy Osbrink, make the trip to Park City as Elle's support contingent. While there, Elle attends the 'Phoebe in Wonderland' premiere screening and after party, visits several environmentally friendly stalls and takes Dakota's place in Picabo Street's 2008 Celebrity Ski Challenge on January 20.

February 2008: - Elle spends a quieter month in February, and is spotted running out with her sister and friends on the 23rd for Dakota's 14th birthday. Dakota drops out of the movie 'My Sisters Keeper' and Elle follows suit, she is replaced by Abigail Breslin.

April 2008: - Elle celebrates her 10th birthday at home with friends and family on the 9th. After spending months on the shortlist for the title role in "Eloise in Paris", Elle unfortunately loses the part to Jordanna Beatty.

May 2008: - Elle signs on to be a part of 'Stand up 2 Cancer', a revolutionary campaign that will result in a telethon being broadcast on all major networks in America. Elle films two commercials and takes part in a photoshoot this month promoting the cause.

June 2008: - On the 28th, Elle attends the LA film festival in support of her movie Phoebe in Wonderland. Elle answers questions during a Q&A and sees the movie for a second time.

August 2008: - After a busy year so far, Elle enjoys a summer off. She joins a cheerleading camp for her school, and takes part in a photoshoot for the October issue of Teen Vogue.

September 2008: - As the new school year starts, Elle begins fifth grade.

October 2008: - On October 18, Elle lends support to her big sister's cheerleading performance at a football game at their school. Loyal to her school's team, she sports a school t-shirt. Later on in the month, Elle is lending support of a different kind - turning up with Dakota, and both the girls' parents, to an event honoring Cindy Osbrink. She has been the girls' agent since they first came to LA, when Elle was only one year old.

November 2008: - Elle takes part in another charity venture, this time 'Give 100', which was founded by cancer survivor and athlete Lance Armstrong. She poses for a photoshoot with a lot of other famous faces, sporting the pink shirt in a line of clothing that will go toward supporting the charity. Elle is 10 and a half.

February 2009: - On the school front, Elle is a busy girl. The end of February marks Colonial Immersion Week for fifth graders at her school, for which she designs and makes her very own colonial period costume. She shows Ellen DeGeneres a picture of the costume next month, while on her talk show. Also this month, Elle has her very first magazine photoshoot for the upcoming issue of 'Venice' magazine.

March 2009: - A very busy month for Elle is in order with the release of her first lead film, 'Phoebe in Wonderland'. On March 2 she reunites with the cast at the film's LA premiere. A week later, Elle is spotted out and about in Beverley Hills sporting a much more casual look, along with her sister, and little cousin Presley. Elle's very first TV talk show experience also falls in this month, just a few weeks shy of her eleventh birthday. She appears on The Late Show with Jay Leno on March 10th, and talks about how she got her start in acting, as well as a cute anecdote about getting part of an eraser stuck in her ear. Three days later, Elle is spotted smiling and laughing as she leaves her home for the Warner Brothers studio where the Ellen DeGeneres talk show is taped. She films a very cute interview with Ellen, dancing out on stage and explaining that she loves drawing, designing clothes, and dancing along with acting. She's given an early birthday present - a pink shirt saying "laugh. dance. eleven."

April 2009: - On April 9, Elle celebrates her 11th birthday with a fun filled day to Disneyland. Along for the ride is Dakota, and their young cousin Presley, who is now almost five years old. The girls pose with the chipmunks - Elle sports pink Mickey Mouse ears, and a sticker saying "Happy Birthday Elle!"

May 2009: - Elle wraps up fifth grade with the end of the school year. On May 17, she takes part in a photoshoot for Vanity Fair magazine by posing as Tatum O'Neal's character in 'Paper Moon'. She is shot alongside Josh Duhamel.

June 2009: - In June, 'Somewhere' is scheduled to begin filming, with Elle in one of the lead roles.

July 2009: - In July, Elle finish filming her scenes from Somewhere in Los Angeles, and she spends some quality time with her sister by visiting her to the set of 'The Runaways'. Later than month, Elle traveled to Milan, Italy to continue with her filming of Somewhere.

September 2009: - In September, Elle narrates 'A very Brave Witch', which is a hollywood story for children.

November 2009: - In November, Elle attended to the 'New Moon' premiere to support sister Dakota, who plays Jane Vulturi in the film.

December 2009: - In December, Elle narrates another children story called irst The Egg, this story talks about growth and transformation, and made for a younger audience than Elle’s last audio book. On Christmas Eve, Elle was spotted with sister Dakota and her grandmother enjoying her time together while they get their nails done.

February 2010: - On February 23rd, Elle is spotted with her sister and friends in restaurant Villa Blanca after Dakota's 16th birthday in Beverlly Hills.

March 2010: - In March, Elle spends a relaxed month, being spotted out and about in LA with her grandmother.

April 2010: - On April 9th, Elle celebrates her 12th Birthday with her family and friends, days after, she's spotted leaving her daily ballet class with a gift. Later that month, Elle's spotted a few times out and about with Dakota leaving a friend's house, and leaving her ballet class with her dad.

May 2010: - In May, Elle keeps a low profile relaxing with her family, spotting her leaving her ballet class and out and about with her mom in Studio City, California.

June 2010: - In June, as the first images of Elle in 'Somewhere' come out, Elle is spotted with ther family in her car after lunch on June 15, having lunch with her mom on June 22. On June 24th, Elle is snapped supporting big sister Dakota by attending the premiere of Eclipse in Los Angeles, California.

July 2010: - In July, Elle has a quieter month while enjoying her summer break from School, and she is snapped out in LA on July 16.

August 2010: - In August, Elle enjoys her summer break in LA, as she is spotted shopping in the store Opening Ceremony, and with her mom shopping in Karabel's Dancewear.

September 2010: - Elle gets busy as her promotions for her film 'Somewhere' begins. She travels to Venice Italia, showing her love for fashion she goes to premiere and promote Somewhere in the 67th Venice Film Festival, going to the Somewhere photocall, then going to the Somewhere premiere spotting a beautiful baby blue 'Marc Jacobs' dress, and later to the Lancia Cafe. She seen the next day keeping her promotion at the VFF, where Somewhere wins Best Movie. On August 4th, Elle is spotted at the Excelsior Hotel Brunch and out and about in The VFF, finally before leaving Italy, Elle had some gorgeous photoshootx shoot by Franco Origlia, Maltese Fabrizio, Nicolas Guerin, Kurt Krieger and Lucia Guardin. After a long waiting, the first trailer of Elle's movie 'The Nutcracker and the rat' finally arrives. Elle is also spottet, after a busy month, out and about in LA and returning to her daily ballet classes. A gorgeous new photoshoot of Elle promoting Somewhere comes out, which was shoot by Todd Cole for 'Dossier' magazine.

October 2010: - In October, Elle does a stunning photoshoot by Theo Wenner in her bathroom, for their 2010 Hotlist, where let us know she still shares a bathroom with Dakota, “It’s awful,” Elle says, jokingly. “I cleaned crusty toothpaste out of the sink this morning.”. On October 18th, Elle attends to the 17th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute at The Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California looking gorgeous in a Marchesa dress. Later that month Moviefone releases their annual “25 Under 25: Hollywood’s Hottest Young Stars” list and Elle made the list! Elle also is photographed by Douglas Kirkland in celebration of 180 years of the Woolrich clothing company, where Doulgas said Elle is “extraordinary” and said she “looked like a doll in the parka”. In this month we found out Elle's booked another role with Francis Coppola in a movie called Twixt Now And Sunrise.

November 2010: - On November 13th, Elle attends the AMPAS 2nd Annual Governors Awards in the Grand Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center, later than month she's seen leaving her ballet class with her dad.

December 2010: - Elle keeps with her promotion for Somewhere in the States, where her talent is finally recognized and her fame rises as she's interviewed and shooted for 'Teen Vogue', 'Vanity Fair', 'Lula Magazine', 'New York Times', 'Interview Magazine', 'LA Weekly', 'Wonderland Magazine', and 'Jalouse', where she talks about filming somewhere, her chemistry with co-star Stephen Dorff, Sofia Coppola, her love of fashion, her being taller than sister Dakota, school and beauty products. She also attended the press conference, screening, and premiere of Somewhere in LA on December 8th wearing a gorgeous black Valentino dress, and the New York Screening on December 12th, where she was dressed by Rodarte. This month, Elle was snapped a lot out and about in LA leaving her ballet class. Elle had a busy month as she began filming her latest movie 'Super 8' this month. On december 18th, Elle appeared as a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, in this interview Elle talks about how much Dakota hates being 2 inches shorter than Elle, she tells a funny stoy about her dog Lewellen, where they ordered pizza and then left, and when they arrived the pizza was gone because her dog ate the pizaa and hide some pieces; she also talks about her christmas tradition where she always give an ornament that reminds something that happened to them during the year. She talks about stealing Dakota clothes and her always knowing she took her clothes, she talks about her character in Somewhere and getting along with Stephen. Maurizio Galimberti photographed a spread Candid Camera behind the scenes at a film festival featuring several actors who attended to the Venice Film Festival, Elle attendig to the festival to premiere her movie Somewhere was one of the lucky actors to be featured.

January 2011: - On January 7th, Elle is spotted leaving her ballet class with her dad. Elle is featured along with Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and her sister Dakota Fanning in “The Best performances” article in W magazine for her role in Somewhere. On Jan 13th, Elle appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live where she talked about her normal life, getting a new iPhone, dropping her old iPhone into the pool and Dakota thinking it was on purpose, about being afraid of seeing Dakota drive, going to a regular school and starting 7th grade, getting a locker, and not being able to open her locker so she had to carry everything. She also talks about her movie We Bought a Zoo, her meeting the monkey, about her pets, especially her gold fish named 'Angel Wings', and she talked about Somewhere, in the show the showed her a magic mirror. The next day, Elle attended to the 16th Annual Critics Choice Awards held in the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California, where she was nominated for Best Young Actress, unfortunately she lost to Hailee Steinfeld.

February 2011: - Elle started in the Rodarte Short Film 'The Curve of Forgotten Things' which debuts February 8th, in the film Elle goes digging for buried treasure. ["The film highlights design duo Kate and Laura Mulleavy's spring 2011 collection, which drew inspiration from 1970s northern California, referencing Redwood forests, the gold rush and Asian influences. The Somewhere star pirouettes through the empty rooms of the historic Baldwin House (which sits on an oil field in LA's Baldwin Hills), her outfits magically changing from one room to the next. Shot on a RED camera using Cooke lenses from the 70s, the short's dusty focus references seminal movies of that era, such as Terrence Malick’s Badlands, while Georgia-based indie rockers Deerhunter provide the dreamy soundtrack. As for the title, Cole explains: “It's the title of a Richard Brautigan poem. The poem and the film are about forgotten things—circles and the curve of time.” The film follows on from last spring's intergalactic project that Cole shot with Rodarte and comes at an extraordinary moment for the designers, whose dazzling costume contributions to Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan will form part of their upcoming solo exhibit at MoCA"]. Elle also talked about this movie, she says what were her favorite outfits "I have two favorites: The blue pants and top combo are my style completely, because the pants are high-waisted, I love the color, and the whole outfit looked very old-fashioned! I would wear this on Free Dress Friday at school or to the movies with friends. I also really liked the mint green skirt and brown blouse; again the skirt's high-waisted and the belt that I had on with the outfit was super unique. This would be perfect for a special birthday dinner. I'm also obsessed with the socks and hair clips I wore with every outfit!" On February 10th,Elle was snapped arriving at The Four Seasons Hotel after leaving her ballet class.

March 2011: - Elle and Hailee Steinfeld were both featured in the Vanity Fair's Hollywood Issue in the article called 'Old Souls'. Elle was snapped on March 6th with her mom and grandma at the Artisan Cheese Gallery in Studio Cit spotting some cute short shorts and cowboy boots. She was also snapped several times leaving her Ballet Class, and with her whole family getting new passports.

April 2011: - Elle, along with Hailee Stenfeld, Chloe Moretz and model Natalia Vodianova were featured in VOGUE us this month, were they were plaufylly photographed by Bruce Webber. On April 9th, Elle had her 13th birthday with family and friends.

May 2011: - On May 2nd, Elle attended the "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" Costume Institute Gala At The Metropolitan Museum Of Art with her sister Dakota, where both sisters were dressed by Valentino. She was spotted leaving NYC and returning to LOS Angeles the same night, and she was snapped leaving again her ballet class later on that month. On May 20th , Elle was honored by winning Actress Of the Year, presented by Francis Coppola himself at the Young Hollywood Awards. The Promotion of Super 8 started later this month, where she was in the Young Hollywood studios making some interviews. On May 22nd, Elle attended to the Super 8 Press Conference held in the Four Seasons Hotel in California. Elle appeared in American Idol to keep with the promotion on May 24th.

June 2011: - Elle had a really busy month. Early this month, Elle was busy in Australia promoting her film Super 8, where she had several photoshoots with her co-stars. On June 5th, Elle attended to the MTV Movie Awards, to show an exclusive clip from Super 8, looking all grown up in Dolce and Gabbana. Elle left hollywood glamour to support Dakota's big day at her High School Graduation on June 6th. Elle was feautred in a breath-taking shoot, shot by Yu Tsai for Blackbook magazine. Elle was also featured in a lovely article in Teen Vogue, where she showed a variety of fun braids to do. On June 8th, Elle made an appearance in The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, in this interview she talks about her trip in London, Dakota's graduation, about her glasses and having contact-lenses, her loving the clothes, she jokes with Jay Leno about how to dress more fashionable. Elle also talks about the secret of super 8, and how none of the cast could tell anything about the film. She gives a little story of her and the kids playing football, when she scored a tochdown. She talks about the movie, which took place in 1979, and how JJ Abrams gave the kids a packet of 70's slang terms. Later this day, elle attended to the LA premiere of Super 8, wearing a vintage dress. On June 12th, Elle was spotted with her family having fun in Santa Monica, California.

Elle had her longest interview so far on June 13th when she visited Jimmy Kimmel to keep promoting Super 8, there she talked about a private screening for their family and friends, about how she had to accept the role before knowing a thing about the movie, how JJ Abrams was really secretive about the secret, and they would call the think "Copper". She talks about being good at keeping secrets, how Dakota didn't know anything. She talks about getting into 8th grade, and finishing 7th grade, having to do her finals, having to do all the homework her partners do, and about her grades. Elle talks about her driving scene and how she wasn't really driving since she's 13 and it was illegal and how a lady was in the bottom of the seat looking at a monitor so she could drive. Elle talks about looking at Dakota driving, being "distracted" by talking to Elle, she also talks about her experience in the MET ball, she talks about her love about fashion how she knows all of the models names and her style icon Alexa Chung, who she met at the MET Ball, she also met Beyonce and she said how she said she liked her outfit. She talked about the place in West Virginia where they filmed Super 8, about the Super Wal-Mart and how everyone would hang out there. She talks about the clubs from her school, which are relax clubs in which you get credit! She talks about hanging out with JJ Abrams and Steven Spielberg. They show a picture of Elle's dummy, and she explains how she needed to use the dummie for risky scenes. Elle was featured in USA today and Entertainment Weekly for Super 8. On Jun 16th, Elle attended the Women In Film Crystal + Lucy Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. After her promotion for super 8 was over, Elle was snapped chilling in LA, enjoying her summer break. During this month we also now Elle's movie Twixt Now and Sunrise has been shortened to Twixt.

July 2011: - In June, Elle was featured in Marie Claire's July Issue, in an article called The Elle epoque, which had a 70's vibe. Elle was also named the face of the Marc by Marc Jacobs 2011 Fall Campaign. On July 5th, Elle attended to the Channel Haute Couture Show in Paris, this being her very first couture runways shoe she's ever attended. Elle has said several times her favorite place in the world was Paris, she was snapped enjoying her visit to Paris, taking lots of pictures with her vintage camera. On July 15th, Elle was snapped back in LA buying some magazines with her grandmother. On July 18th, we get the first look of Elle's movie Twixt, showing a side of Elle never seen before (as a death girl). Lather this month, we see Elle happily out and about in Los Angeles.

August 2011: - Both Dakota and Elle are featured in Vogue's August The Age Issue. Elle is one of the several models to pose for the cover of LOVE magazine, with an angelical photoshoot. August was a pretty relaxed month for Elle, where we could see Elle happily enjoying her summer break in Los Angeles, California.

September 2011: - Elle had some quality time with her sister Dakota as she visited her for a several days in New York. During her stay, Elle attended to the NY Fashion Show with her sister on September 12th, where she got to see the exclusive Marc Jacobs runways, and on september 13th where she attended to the Rodarte's fashion show. On September 21st Elle flew back to California to attend one of her favorite fashion icons' collection: The Launch Of The Alexa Chung For Madewell Fall 2011 Collection. She was also spotted having a meal with her family at Paty's Restaurant.

October 2011: During early October Elle was snapped out and about with friends in LA. People's Choice Awards nominees came out, with a nice nomination for Elle as favorite movie star under 25 and to Super 8 as Best Action Movie. On October 13th Elle attended to the Douglas Kirkland Photo Exhibition Celebrating 180 Years Of Woolrich, since Elle was one of the faces of this exhibition. Elle attended to the 15th Annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala on October 24th where she was honored with the Hollywood Spotlight Award. Elle was also invited to the CHANEL Intimate Dinner At Robertson Boutique in Los Angeles later in October 27th. Keeping her youthful self, Elle was seen on October 31st dressed as a giant doll celebrating Halloween with her friends!

November 2011 - Elle spent November in California with Family friends, just before starting to promote her latest film We Bought a Zoo, she was snapped out with her grandma leaving Neiman Marcus. We also got news from a new project Elle was going to film in Jan 2012 called Bomb where she plays Ginger, a ‘brainy’ girl who wants to get involved with the anti-nuclear movement. On november 21st Elle attended the 2011 Children Of Chernobyl’s Children At Heart Gala. Elle didn't hesitate to re-unite with Super 8 co-stars as she attended to the Super 8 DVD/Blu-Ray release on November 22nd.

December 2011 - As the premiere of We Bought a Zoo came closer, Elle started with her promotion when she made a guest-appearance with her co-star Colin Ford in The Rosie Show; New videos of We Bought a Zoo were released and a new nomination came out, this time by the International Press Academy Satellite Award under the category of Actress in a Supporting Role for her job in Super 8, among Carey Mulligan, Kate Winslet, and Rachel McAdams, between many others. Super 8 was also nominated under the categories of Original Score, Visual effects, and Sound (Editing & Mixing); The film We Bought a Zoo is also nominated for Original Song. Keeping herself busy with promotion, Elle was snapped outside the Jay Leno Show set where she recorded her guest appearance on the 12th, which was set to air on the 15th, she was later seen at the We Bought a Zoo premiere in NY. Some more nominatios appeared later this month! The Critics’ Choice Awards nominated Elle under the category of Best Young Actor/Actress for her role in Super 8. Elle has also achieved a few nominations in the Phoenix Film Critics Society 2011 Award Nominations under the categories of Best Ensemble Acting, Breakthrough Performance on Camera, and Best Performance by a Youth in a Lead or Supporting Role all for her role in Super 8. On december 14th Elle was snapped at the LAX Airport heading back home after her promotion finished in NYC. News about a new project for Elle were released. Elle would be set to star in a new short film called Lightness. The film is about the eating disorders the modeling world generates in young girls. Elle will be playing Mia, and the film will be directed by mexican director Rodrigo Prieto, who has worked with Elle before in Babel. This month Elle was featured in several magazines: A Magazine Curated by Rodarte, Vogue UK, and W magazine where she appeared with her sister Dakota.

January 2012- Starting 2012 with the right foot, we got to see Elle's beautiful photoshoot for Teen Vogue's February Issue. We also got to see her giggly self during her appearance on The Ellen Show on Jan 3rd. On January 12th, Elle wore a stunning Rodarte gown to the 17th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards. Later, Elle hosted the Dinner in Celebration of Rodarte, held at the Chateau Marmont in California. She was then spotted out and about in Beverly Hills on 21st. Another project for Elle was rumored later this month called Lonely Hunter.
