"I hate the "young trying to look older" vibe. I'd much rather look like a five-year-old than a 21-year-old. And I think that when i'm 21, I'm not going to dress super old either. I like the girlie girl too much.

ELLE > SHARING CLOTHES WITH DAKOTA

Elle is following in her big sister's footsteps in more ways than one! Like most siblings, Dakota and Elle often swap bits and pieces from their wardrobes and the results are pretty cute. It's refreshing to see a Hollywood pair that don't mind wearing hand-me-downs! Check out these pics of the girls wearing the same clothes. Know one we've missed? Let us know!

Dakota wore this yellow halter neck shirt for a photoshoot by Indira Cesarine in June 2005 - later that summer, Elle sported the shirt on a family outing to a bowling alley in Los Angeles.

On the Tonight Show With Jay Leno in 2006, Dakota wore this cute cream vest and shirt ensemble, that Elle later shared at a film premiere in 2007.

Dakota sported this shirt while she was in Toronto to promote a movie in September 2005, and Elle wore the same shirt to the Dreamer premiere a month later.

Promoting one of her movies in 2004, Dakota wore this white shirt and black cardigan, while Elle tried it out for size at a film festival in 2007.

This pink shirt is a favorite of the Fannings! Dakota was spotted wearing it three times in 2005 - at a photoshoot, while on vacation in Hawaii, and for a television interview. A year later, Elle was snapped on the set of Babel wearing it as well. (Thanks to Dannii!)

Dakota confessed that both she and Elle are fans of the "girly" Hello Kitty jewellery range, and they seem to share a fondness for this necklace as well. Elle wore it while out sightseeing in Australia, while Dakota wore it for an interview with Ryan Seacrest. (Thanks to Dannii!)

Visiting sick children at a hospital in 2005, Dakota wore this light pink shirt - not long after, Elle fancied it on herself while out bowling to celebrate her big sister's 12th birthday. (Thanks to Gen!)

Elle wore this sparkly headband while all frocked up for the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang stage show in 2005, and Dakota wore it at an awards ceremony early the following year. (Thanks to Meghan!)

Dakota wore this adorable Oilily outfit while promoting I am Sam on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2002. At the same age, 4 years later, Elle wore it for her movie I Want Someone To Eat Cheese With.

This time was Elle who was spotted first with this leggings while celebrating her 11th Birthday at the “Celebration Roundup & Barbecue” in Disneyland. Not much later, Dakota was spotted wearing them when taking a break while filming New Moon in Robson street in Vancouver, Canada.

Dakota wore this running short in April 10th 2009, later that month Elle was also wearing them.

On April 2009 Dakota was spotted at the Griffith Park wearing these cute pair of shorts. After almost a year later, Elle was snapped out with her grandmother wearing them again.

Dakota was hanging out and about in NYC wearing this bright pink shorts on June 8th 2010. Elle was snapped eating some pizza with her mom in the same month.

Both girls have been seen several times with these cute combat boots this year.

These boots are one of the Fanning favorites items, they have both wear them a lot of times in 2010.

This jacket is one of the favorite items of both Fannings, both girls have been using it non-stop since early 2010.

Little Elle stole one of Dakota's 2011 favorite flare jean when she attended to American Idol promoting Super 8.

One of Dakota's favorite skirts, she was photographed several times wearing it in 2010 and 2011. Elle then wore it while leaving a ballet class in early 2011.

Both girls have been spotted several times wearing these flats since 2009. No wonder why, these Lanvin shoes are classy and simple, perfect for any outfit.

Elle was snapped wearing this ripped jeans when getting her password with her family back in March 2011, Dakota was later snapped with them as she was walkind down the streets of New York in October.

This Marc Jacobs Jacket has been in the family since 2008, and the girls love it since they haven't stopped wearing it since then.

While Dakota was never spotted wearing them, Elle admitted these white heels were owned by her sister Dakota, but since she stole them so much Dakota ended up giving them to her!
